The weather has been gorgeous here in Paris. Below are some pictures that I took today and yesterday.

La Défense
Grande Arche

It was really hot yesterday...27°C (80.6°F)!!! Tom was so hot that he turned on our portable air conditioner. We never used the air conditioners last summer.

Picnic!!

Once again, party planner Leesa organized a wonderful picnic along the Seine. We had about a 15 foot long spread of food and drink.

Our new picnic basket!!

Tennessee riverboat in Paris!!

Our entertainment for the night
This picture was taken at 9:45 at night. I love the long days of summer!!

Salsa along the Seine. I wish that I knew how to dance salsa - it looks like so much fun!

On Friday nights and Sunday afternoons, there are organized roller blading events around Paris. The routes cover about 15 to 20 kilometers. Thousands of people attend these events. Tom and I are actually thinking of buying roller blades so that we can join in. It looks like so much fun!

The Sunday one passed us as we were walking to our picnic spot. The police stop traffic along the route and it is incredibly organized.

Schools out for SUMMER!!!

Yipee!! June 18th - Last day of school and prom night. This was taken when the boys got home from the prom at 12:45am (as per our giant wall clock).

Difference between U.S. proms and French proms -wine is served since the drinking age is 16.

Since the prom was in Paris, we had one last big sleepover before everyone heads out for summer. What fun and such a great group of friends!

Where am I???

Good news!! It only took me 2 hours to get this picture on my blog! Couldn't figure out where my digital pictures were...camera battery died...couldn't remember how to get the pictures on my blog...etc.etc. I think it's going to take me a long time to catch up.

I'm back !!!

Well, it's been a long time!! I've actually forgot how to add pictures so I'll have to get another computer lesson from my husband.

When my computer first broke at the end of February, it took more than 1 month to get it back. And when I finally got it back....it was still broken (the motherboard). So, we had to send it away again for 1 month.

When I finally got it back, our internet went down. It turned out to be a problem where the internet enters our building and that took 1 1/2 months to fix.

Then, we went on several vacations back to back. Now I'm back and unpacked and ready to blog (if technology doesn't fail me again)!
