A Snack with Friends

We met at L'Oisive Thé at 5:00pm for a snack.

Me, Alex (Leesa's French husband - oo la la) and Anne from Oxfordshire England). Leesa took the pictures.

We realized that we don't know when Anne's returning to England...is it Tuesday or Wednesday??

On the way back to the Metro..

Artwork on a building...I'm not sure how they do it.

To all my French speaking friends, what does the below artwork mean? "Which one not given ____ I took." Help!!

Au Revoir, MB

We will miss you MB!!

Once again, I was having so much fun seeing old friends and meeting new friends that I totally forgot to take picures. I remembered after most of the delicious food was eaten and more than 20 people have left.

I think I will have to carry my camera in my hand at all times - although this could make drinking champagne and eating at the same time very difficult!

Got home in the wee hours after a wonderful evening hosted by Cynthia and Mark!

The Château de Fontainebleau

We headed out to Fountainebleu this morning. Here we are going out of Paris.

Trocadero..
Eiffel Tower...
Louvre

The sparkling Seine River...

Fountainebleau has been a retreat for kings since 1137 - including Louis XIV and Napolean. We took the audio tour of the château.

I have serious "helmet hair" today.

The town of Fountainebleau...

We stopped in and had a quick bite at this cute little restaurant.

Actually, we also needed to use their electricity. Our tom-tom died on the way to Fountainebleau so we had to buy a charger and recharge it (to the right of Tom's head). Of course, we asked first before plugging in. We only take small and quiet roads and there was no way we could retrace our steps back to Paris. It took us about 1 1/2 hours each way

My snack - yummy!!

Tom's...

Here we are on our scooter! Actually, it reminds me more of a motorcyle. It has 125cc and can easily get up to 100km per hour.

We made it home with just 30 minutes to spare before we had to leave for a going away party.
A busy and wonderful Saturday!!

The Doctor's Results are in!!!

As anyone who knows me knows, my husband snores. He snores so loud that it's impossible for me to get any sleep.
.
So after numerous tests, the results came back and ....Tom snores. Not only does he snore, but he snores a lot. He snores 544 times per hour or 4185 times per night.
.
Not only does Tom snore a lot, but he snores EXTREMELY loud. In fact, he snores 10 decibels louder than a vacuum cleaner!!! And...believe it or not...louder than a pneumatic drill!!!
.
I've tried many different types of ear plugs and a pillow over my head....a pillow over Tom's head....HELP ME!!!!

Anne and her Parisien adventure!

Anne, from England (Oxfordshire), is here in Paris. She has been having a wonderful time exploring every inch of this wonderful city. Once again, we had a wonderful lunch at Aimee's.

Picnic on the Seine again!!

Not only am I a bad blogger, but I am also not taking any photos of my adventures. Leesa, the party planner, organized another wonderful picnic. I only took 3 pictures!! Four more people arrived after these photos were taken. The question that I always have is... why, why, why does J not liking having her picture taken? She's beautiful, young, so very photogenic, and doesn't have a single wrinkle!!

I guess I was too busy eating and drinking to take a picture in the beginning. Here is our wonderful picnic basket with our baguette on top of it.

Bob's 1st day of school

I can't believe that Bob is a senior this year! How is that possible?!?! Bob even let Tom drive him to school on the scooter. Actually, Bob got to sleep later since Tom drove him. School starts at 9am - when I was a senior in NJ, I had to be in school by 7:15am.

Bob is really happy with his schedule this year. He has a bunch of his friends in his classes and lunch. I think his senior class has about 80 students in it.

Only Bob would put "puppy" on my shopping list..

Too cute!!!!

How cute is this?!?! A dog is patiently waiting for his owner (leash in mouth) outside of a fruit store!!!

More Salzburg...

Bob's favorite mode of transportation....

We took a cable car up to the top of a mountain that overlooks Salzburg....very cold!

Bob's favorite place in Salzburg...

Vacation with Bob - Part Deux (2)

On the train from Vienna to Salzburg, Austria.

Bob making himself at home on the train.

I had to "check out" every WC that we passed.

We discovered how much Bob enjoys getting his picture taken...

I actually thought it was a real man on the ball...looks real....right?

Birthplace of Mozart...

Bob's all-time favorite place - the Augustine Monastery. In case you're wondering, it's also a brewery and beer garden. Below is the entrance.

Delicious and not-so-healthy brewery food.
