Tom gets stopped by the police again!!

Tom's mug shotSkin police checking out his razor stubble...

The official ticket...skin as soft as a baby's bottom!!

And...Tom gets a free razor AND he was also entered to win a free spa weekend!

L'Hôtel de Ville

Today, we went to L'Hôtel de Ville (Paris town hall) which is a beautiful building in the 4th arrondisement of Paris.

We went with Hélène and her cousins Anais and Vincent to see the exhibition on Gustave Eiffel.

Studying and discussing some pictures...

Afterwards, we strolled around and enjoyed another beautiful day.

Re-hydrated...

We even saw antique rats. These rats were "captured" at Les Halles in 1925 in Paris when it was France's central food distribution center. In 1971, the food halls were moved just outside of Paris.

More dead rats...

The rats in happier times...

Chez Cynthia Again!

French champagne and really good food...it must be Book Club night again! It's a great chance to see old friends and meet new ones! Once again, I didn't get a chance to read the book Cheri and The Last Cheri by Colette BUT I saw the movie Cheri. I know...lame!
So, because I am such a wonderful wife and mother, I prepared lasagna for the boys before I left for my book club. They "only" had to put it in the oven when they got home. Leesa called me while I was preparing the lasagne and told me that it was a good choice because what could possibly go wrong with lasagna!?!? Hmmm...

In fact, it was soooo good, that Tom decided to have some again tonite!!! Yum!!!

Strasbourg

Tom and I spent the weekend in Strasbourg, France. Strasbourg is in northeastern France and is located right next to the border of Germany.

The view from our hotel window into the park below

Pictures, pictures and then some more pictures of Strasbourg - I know...way too many pictures

A street festival
Of course, we had to join in and have some wonderful Alsace wine and they were only €1,50 per glass!

Lucky for us, there was a music festival in Strasbourg. We were even entertained as we dined outside.

Look at the name of my store!!

The music festival continued on Sunday with free indoor concerts.

These 3 were students of the Conservatoire of Strasbourg. They were amazing jazz musicians.

Cute Italian Restaurant

This is one of our favorite restaurants in our neighborhood. We were walking past here last night at around 10:15pm and it was packed. How cute is their little van!

Le Marais

I went to Le Marais on Wednesday to go to 2 stores. The first one was the Thanksgiving store again. The refried beans with green chilis were excellent on our burritos the other night so I bought 2 more cans.My second stop was the Entrée des Fournisseurs on 8, rue des Frances Bourgeois. This boutique has the most amazing selection of buttons, ribbons and other sewing items.
Of course, I had to wander around Le Marais for a while and enjoy the day. Here are some of the pictures from my 4 hour stroll.
