Summertime in Paris

Well....I thought that I would be blogging a lot more right now, but it's summer in Paris. The weather is gorgeous and the sun rises around 5:50am and doesn't set until almost 10pm! I just can't seem to go inside when it's so beautiful outside and there are so many interesting places yet to explore.

We moved here in January 2007 with a 2 year contract. Luckily, the company that Tom works for asked him to stay for another 1 1/2 which brings us up to June 2010. Which means...that we have a little less than 1 year here in Paris :-(

I'm trying to see everything that I've missed seeing so far. I should actually make a list and start checking things off. I should head to a park one day and work on that list.

Anyways...I went out with friends last night for drinks at the Concorde La Fayette Hotel. The bar is located on the 33rd (?) floor and has breath taking views of Paris. The hotel is located at Porte Maillot adjacent to the Palais de Congrés.

I took these pictures around 9:15pm. I guess maybe if I stood closer to the windows that I wouldn't have gotten so much reflection in my shots. Anyways...the second picture is of the Bois de Boulogne (the largest park in Paris) and close to where we live.
